On many occasions on events people ask one of the organizers: What does “Culti” Mean? That’s a smart question, because a lot of people just assumes it means “Cultural”, or “Multi Culti”. Some people assume it means “Culinary”. No mather how logical these assumptions are, neither one of them are 100% correct…
So, if “Culti” doesn’t simply mean “Multi Culti” or “Cultural” – than what does it mean? In fact… Until July 17 2013, The word had no specific meaning! It was picked someyears ago, because there’s a nice, post-national vibe around this word – and because it’s catchy. No other meaning – at first!
On July 17, 2013, everything changed! Starting July 17, 2013 a “Culti” is: a coin with which you can buy and spend on events in Culti Group. The coin gets you something ( a drink, a daytrip, anything…. ) AND… It helps keeping the Culti Group going, because a part of the money you pay for getting a Culti, is used for covering general costs. Costs like the travel expenses, drinks and dinner of Event Hosts. Plus costs for maintaining and building Culti Group Websites.
What does a “Culti” Look like? Well, on every event that’s a surprise! The main thing is: it gets you something, and it helps keeping one of the groups of your choice going.
Thanks for reading, and see you on one of the events
